Alignment basics that affect wobble: toe and caster in plain English

Bad alignment can trigger shake, wobble, and tire wear, especially after a lift.

When to use this guide: You have a lift, bigger tires, or recent steering work.

Overview

A lift changes the front end geometry, and if you skip the alignment afterward, you're going to have problems. Wrong caster can make the steering feel vague and can contribute to wobble. Wrong toe eats tires and causes the Jeep to pull. Get a proper alignment after any suspension work, it's not a suggestion.
