DIY Guides › No Start
Hearing the pump does not prove you have correct fuel pressure or spark.
When to use this guide: You hear the pump prime but it still will not start.
Hearing the pump run at key-on doesn't mean you have pressure at the rail or spark at the plugs. People stop diagnosing the second they hear the pump, and that's a mistake. A pump can run and still be delivering weak pressure, or spark can be completely missing. You need to confirm both before you know where the problem is.
