Hot restart failure: starts cold, will not restart hot (heat soak checklist)

Some sensors and wiring fail when hot, then work again after cooling down.

When to use this guide: It runs fine, you shut it off, then it will not restart until it cools.

Overview

This one is frustrating because the Jeep runs fine, you park it, come back 20 minutes later, and it won't restart. Wait an hour and it starts right up. That pattern points to the Crank Position Sensor or a fuel pressure problem that only shows up when things are hot. Both have specific tests to confirm them.
