DIY Guides › Overheating
Where and when it overheats is the clue that points to airflow or coolant flow issues.
When to use this guide: Temps climb in traffic, on the highway, or only under load.
Pay attention to when it overheats, that detail points you straight to the cause. Overheating in traffic means the fan isn't moving enough air. Overheating on the highway means coolant isn't flowing fast enough. Those are two completely different problems with different parts to check. Start with the timing, not the thermostat.
