Post-lift checklist: what to re-check after installing a lift

Most lift problems come from loose bolts, alignment, and worn parts that show up after.

When to use this guide: You just installed a lift or bought a lifted XJ.

Overview

Most problems after a lift don't show up during the install, they show up 50 or 100 miles later when bolts settle, bushings compress, and alignment issues start showing in the tires. A quick re-check after the first drive, and another one after the first hundred miles, catches most of this before it causes a problem on the road.
